I was born and bred in Burma, where I completed my studies in matriculation from Dagon 1 State High School (previously MEHS) and a science degree from Rangoon Arts and Science Unversity. I later decided to pursue my career in medicine and studied at the JLN medical college in Ajmer, Rajasthan in India. After completion of my degree and whilst continuing a post graduate course in orthopaedics, I decided to migrate to Australia with my family in 1988.
